Now that the sweater weather is over, is perfect time for leather weather, well faux leather. It’s one of the biggest trends this spring season and I absolutely love it!
I think it looks so chick and sophisticated, and for sure you won’t go unnoticed. I want to show you some of my favorite pieces for this season and how I wear them.
The basic leather jacket
I bet most of you already owe this in your wardrobe. It’s been a trend for years now, and leather hardly goes out of style. So if you don’t already owe one, worth investing in. I wear mine with anything but I like to make it special wearing it over a couture dress with some leather boots. Such a badass look, perfect for a concert or an extravagant ice cream date. Where else would you wear this look?
Dress me up in chocolate
This is my favorite dress of this season, by Zara 2020 Spring Collection. I love the pockets, the color, how it feels and how it suits me. Even if it has no cleavage and is not short, I feel so sexy in it.
Crème de la crème
Same kind of dress but short, cream, and a little more 60’s. I actually found this one at an outlet for a very good deal. But unfortunately I ruined it after the first wear, because I stored it in my closet on top of another skirt with the same material, and they got stuck together ruining this one. Always store them on hangers and far away from each other so they can’t breath and not get stuck together. I would wear this at a cute brunch with my girls.
The fauxy look
A black faux leather skirt is another item worth having in your wardrobe because it’s so easy to dress it up or down for any occasion. I like this one because it’s shason textile (crocodile vinyl faux) and it’s another outlet find so I paid like $10 for it. Not bad. Perfect for the office if you’re tired of wearing those boring suits.
The spring brings the blossomy flowers and the miniskirts. Feels so good when you finally experience a warm day after a long winter, so what a better way to celebrate than with a springy outfit. You already saw this pleads skirt in a previous article (click here to see it), but this time I wore it with a pastel flower power shirt, definitely a spring outfit, perfect for a walk in a park on a warm April day.
Sidenote: if I’d have to add something I don’t like about this skirt is how it folds when I sit down, making it look like a belly roll, not that I actually have those too. But it comes with a thin material built in pair of shorts, that I like, makes it more comfortable and in case of a windy accident when you can’t do the Marilyn pose, it saves the day.
I hope you enjoyed this article and that it took your mind away for a little bit from the crazy life that’s going on right now. Hopefully soon we can all go out and enjoy the warm weather and celebrate together the fact that we are healthy! Take care!
Until next time,
